Spring has sprung. My closet has been cleaned. I'm ready to share my latest obsession with you: the fabulous necklaces of Craft by Kraft.
Maxine Kraft, who is a student at the University of Texas, has been wowing me with these babies from the minute I laid eyes on them. I'm not the only one who loves them though -- Tessie Watson of Longhorn Fashions has recently added some of Maxine's cutest necklaces to her brick-and-mortar store located near Towers in West Campus. It makes my heart so full of joy to be surrounded by hardworking women like Tessie and Maxine that know what they love, incorporate it into a business strategy and chase their dreams.
Another exciting thing about this post: most of the pieces in these looks were things I bought while in SPAIN! You read it right, of course my backpacking trip evolved into one giant shopping spree once I got to Madrid. Some of my favorite new brands are Lefties, Mango and Pull & Bear.
Below are a few of my favorite picks from Craft by Kraft. I had the pleasure of shooting this blog with three talented photographers on East 11th Street... one of the cutest little streets in Austin! If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out and stop by Quickie Pickie for some cold brew.
Craft by Kraft Pick: Pearl Choker
As much as I knock chokers, I have to admit: they make you feel really damn cool. I didn't think I could rock the cheap plastic choker, but this little twist on one of my favorite jewelry staples (a simple pearl necklace) is something I can definitely work.
Midi & jean jacket: Lefties, Shoes: Urban Outfitters, Necklace: Craft by Craft
Craft by Craft Pick 2: Pendant Necklace - Dainty Labradorite Rosary Chain
For as Catholic as I am, I sure do love Buddha. Give me Buddha everything and I'll be happy. I stumbled upon this necklace at a Craft by Kraft trunk show and had to have it in this post! The dainty chain balances out the bold pendant, and I love the antiquated finish as well. Perfect for high-neck tanks like the one I'm wearing in the picture.
Jacket: Madewell, Knit crop halter & high-wasited shorts: Lefties, Shoes: Pull & Bear, Necklace: Craft by Craft
Craft by Craft Pick: Beaded Double Wrap With Horn
This simple white double wrap necklace is simple, effortless and achromatic which means you can throw it on with literally ANYTHING summery and look put together. I totally dig the horn at the end of it, too... To me it has a very New Mexico vibe which I love. The dress below is great to throw on with some metallic sandals, and I like the contrast between the deep red and bone white.
